Konoon
10%Florfenicol Injection
Active Ingredient
Florfenicol.
Pharmacology
Flofenicol is a baceriosestatic antibiotic that inhibits protein synthesis by binding to ribosomal subunits of susceptible bacteria, leading to the inhibition of peptidyl tranterase and protein formation. The bacterial receptor that is the site of action for florfenticol is considered to be the same as that for chloramphenicol and thiamphenicol. And its antibacterial spectrum and activity are better than theirs, while its side effects are less. Florfenciol does not induce bone marrow depression and aplastic anemia.
Applications
Amido alcohol antibiotics. Used for bacterial diseases caused by Pasteurella and E. coli.

Tips:
Now Chloramphenicol is prohibited from administration to animal in most countries and regions all over the world. And Florfenicol conquers not only the disadvantage of Chloramphenicol which induces bone marrow depression and aplastic anemia, but also the inactivation of CAT which is the origin of drug-resistance. So it has been the best replacer of Chloramphenicol.
